SEPTEMBER 10 – 14 September Strasbourg – MONEYVAL plenary meeting, 10th anniversary. 20 – 21 September Belgrade – Serbian Supreme Court organises a Regional Conference on the role of the Supreme Courts in South East Europe in implementation of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms at the national level. President of the ECHR Jean Paul Costa to attend the conference as part of his official visit to Serbia. 21 – 22 September Belgrade – The Council of Europe and the European Commission in collaboration with the Serbian Culture Ministry organise European Heritage Days. CoE Secretary General Terry Davis to attend. Friday, Sept 21: Belgrade – International round table “Common heritage in Europe on the move – adding value to the development potential of European regions (0930). Serbian Foreign and Culture Ministers Vuk Jeremic and Vojislav Brajevic to hold welcoming remarks, CoE Secretary General Terry Davis to give an opening speech. Belgrade – Ceremony marking the 2007 European Heritage Days at Belgrade fortress (1645) Saturday, Sept 22 Belgrade – Discovery of the Serbian Cultural Heritage along the Danube river (boat sight seeing tour) (0900). 21 September Belgrade - EUROPEAN FLAG DAY organised by the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade in colaboration with the Serbian Parliament (1315) OCTOBER 1 – 5 October Strasbourg – Fourth part of the 2007 Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (The Chairman of the Committee of Ministers presents the Statutory Report of the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly and replies to the parliamentary questions) - Exhibition - Concert 8 OctoberNovi Sad - The Congress of the Council of Europe, Serbian Ministry for State Administration and Local-Self Government and Standing Confernece of Towns and Municipalities (National Association of Serbia’s Municipalities) organise a conference "Bringing Local and Regional Authorities Together for Greater Democratic Cohesion" (0845) 9 October Lisbon, Portugal – European Day against the death penalty. 10 – 13 October Belgrade – United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Serbian government organise 6th Ministerial UN Conference “Environment for Europe: Building bridges to the future” 15 – 16 October Valencia, Spain – 15th Session of the Conference of European Local and Regional Government Ministers. 18 October Belgrade – Serbian Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs organises a regional conference on “the protection of children against violence” 18 – 19 October Belgrade - Equality Division of the Directorate General of Human Rights of the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Serbian Foreign Ministry and the Serbian Interior Ministry and the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade organise a two-day regional seminar “Action against Trafficking in Human Beings: Measures to Protect and Promote the Rights of Victims”. CoE Deputy Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio to take part. 23 October Strasbourg – Quadripartite meeting between the EU and the CoE 25 – 26 October Lanzarote, Canarias, Spain – 28th Conference of European Ministers of Justice 29 – 30 October Strasbourg – European Symposium on learning about history in multicultural societies “Multiple images, shared destinies”. 29 - 30 October Belgrade – CoE DG 3 Roma and Travellers Division, Serbian Parliament and the State Agency for Human and Minority Rights organise a conference on Durable Solutions for Roma Refugees, IDPs and Returnees in the Balkans. NOVEMBER 2 – 4 November Belgrade – Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence organises a meeting of the Directors of the Schools of Political Studies (of the CoE) and a conference “Achievements and Challenges of Regional Cooperation). 5 – 6 November Nis – INGO Conference organises a seminar regarding Serbia’s CM Chairmanship “Promoting democracy and active citizenship; the role of the NGOs and civic society” 8 – 9 November Belgrade – Regional ministerial conference on intercultural dialogue.
