1st Anniversary of the “1 in 5” campaign in Serbia

 




The Incest Trauma Center – Belgrade, the official partner of the Council of Europe campaign against sexual abuse of children “1 in 5” in Serbia, in cooperation with the Council of Europe and the European Union Delegation in Serbia will mark the first anniversary of the campaign with two events on 27 and 28 February in Belgrade.

An expert meeting with deputies of the National Assembly of Serbia entitled “My voice for the healing of the child survivor of sexual trauma” will discuss the initiative of the Incest Trauma Center – Belgrade to rescind the Statute of Limitations on sex offences against children. Legislators will discuss on the urgency to harmonize the legislation of the Republic of Serbia with the minimum standards defined by the Lanzarote Convention of the Council of Europe ( Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (Lanzarote Convention))

On 28 February, ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the “1 in 5” campaign in Serbia will be the festive frame to award children and young people for their excellent contributions to the prevention of violence against children and to the promotion of the rights of the child.
